Rock of Ages is a jukebox musical that takes place in 1980s Hollywood and is about the fight for music, love, and dreams.

The show is set against the backdrop of the proposed closure of the Bourbon Room, a legendary Sunset Strip venue, and the rise of glam metal and hair metal. The story follows: Sherrie; a small-town girl who moves to Los Angeles to pursue fame. Drew; an aspiring rock star. Stacee Jaxx: A rock and roll star who performs at The Bourbon Room.

The show features music from hit bands like Journey, Whitesnake, and Styx and is a celebration of classic 80s rock.

Chris D'Arienzo wrote the book for Rock of Ages, and he also wrote and directed the film adaptation starring Tom Cruise.
