POSH TEAS AND ARTISAN CHEESE
with ROSEMARY SHRAGER & SEAN WILSON
ALL TICKETS £35
Two culinary champions, ROSEMARY SHRAGER and SEAN WILSON, team up for their first ever live tour of the UK. The first half of their show will consist of a Q&A, taking questions from the audience, while the second half will be a cook-off, in which the two chalk-and-cheese experts will showcase their succulent skills, with mouth-watering recipes and hot tips that the audience can try at home.
ROSEMARY SHRAGER’s professional career includes stints working for Pierre Koffman at the internationally famous Tante Claire restaurant in London and for Jean-Christophe Novelli. She then became head chef at Moyns Park, the Mountbatten’s family home, where she was responsible for all aspects of catering, including private and corporate functions, and went on to open her own cookery school.
She has enjoyed a TV career that has spanned more than a decade, starring in her own shows, such as The Chopping Block (ITV), Rosemary Shrager’s School for Cooks (ITV), Rosemary – Castle Cook (Channel Five) and Rosemary on the Road (Channel 5) in the UK and Rosemary - Queen of the Kitchen (Discovery) in the USA, as well as guesting in numerous others, like The Big Family Cooking Showdown (Netflix), The Real Marigold Hotel (BBC), Best Leftovers Only (Netflix), Mind Your Manners (Channel Four), Ladette to Lady (in the UK, USA and Australia) and of course, I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, where she proved she could cook just about anything, anywhere.
SEAN WILSON first shot to fame playing the character of Martin Platt in Coronation Street from 1985 to 2004. Immediately after leaving the soap opera, he went straight into a Michelin kitchen to hone his considerable skills as a self-taught cook, working for Nigel Howarth at Northcote Manor, Blackburn. He was then introduced to a legendary Lancashire cheese maker, who taught him how to make cheese in the ‘provenance’ style, ie made at the source of its main ingredient. After winning a British Cheese Award Gold Medal in his first year, Sean opened his own Artisan Farm Cheese Company, producing three Lancashire traditional cheeses and his own blue cheese; his cheeses have earned forty international and national awards to date.
Sean created and presented the Channel 5 series, Great Northern Cookbook, in 2013, drawing weekly audiences of 1.2 million, and wrote a cookbook of the same name to accompany the series. He has since penned two more, Cheddar Gorged (2022) and Jazz Food (2023), the latter illustrated throughout by Sean’s original artworks.
Rosemary and Sean have known each other for some time and worked together many times on the cooking demonstration circuit, where the contrasting styles of austere, upper-class Rosemary and earthy Northerner Sean has gone down well with audiences. Both as passionate in educating others in food production and preparation as they are in cooking it themselves, they feel it’s time to take it to the next level and reach a wider audience around the UK. Expect witty banter, frank confessions and infectious hilarity, as well as practical advice and top tips. Tuck in, and buy your tickets for this unique show before they sell out!
