When women workers are discriminated against by their male co-workers at the Ford Motor Co. in Dagenham, Essex, sewing machinist Rita O'Grady take sit upon herself to organise a strike, demanding better working conditions and equal pay - a crusade that puts her job, family and marriage on the line.
